Homosexual Inequality
This blog is a display of many articles, facts, and opinions about the issue of gay marriage. I wish to portray not just my own pro-gay marriage opinion of the subject, but also the flawed anti-gay marriage voice. It needs to be observed that by denying these people marriage we are denying them far more then just a sense of unity. A marriage certificate is a doorway to many benefits for a couple, benefits that as a gays or lesbians, a couple is being denied.
This picture shows the absurity of the anti gay marriage movement. This just goes to show the twisted way in which people thing. To deny someone their rights is just cruel, but their logic behind their side of the debate in many cases is religious based and frankly absurd. Gays are being forced to live lives of struggle and hardship because they are denied the right to be with the one they love while oppositions claim only aggrivation against their beliefs

Many couples come from different countries and are forced to uproot their lives and travel back and forth between their home country and where their spouse lives. This unrooting would and could be prevented if same-sex marriages were made legal, but as it stands it is still a challenge to find support for homosexuals. Support has been growing over the last few years, but is still not enough today to make a same-sex marriage bill pass in most states

This article shows just how close the vote in MAryland for same sex marriage really was. From this article the statistics are shown. After much debate it was shown that the bill to legalize same-sex marriage didnt pass being it was two or three votes. However support it seems was very divided.
This documentary is a great informative source for anyone interest in the same-sex marriage debates. The documentary talks about recent states that have been struggling with legalizing same-sex marriage and how people are taking it into their own hands to spread the word about how important legalizing these bills are for same-sex families and couples. The documentary is very pro-gay marriage and changed my understanding and appriciation for their cause.
This picture, also taken on March 11th shows supporters in Maryland for a same-sex marriage bill. Maryland is a divided state, that is pushing to find acceptance of those with homosexual preferneces. Denying same-sex couples the right to marry is a handicap that we must eliminate. Maryland is taking those steps to ind equality. Though this year the legistlation did not pass, supporters like these continue to fight to find a better, more equal world for people off all preferences.
